City of Lancaster and Insite Development Announce Plans For New 5-Story Boutique Hotel and Office Space On The BLVD
The City of Lancaster and InSite Development today announced plans to add a five-story boutique hotel, office space, public parking structure, and mobile retail Kiosks to the newly renovated downtown Lancaster Boulevard. The new development will add yet another signature touch to The BLVD, which recently underwent a $100 Million transformation that has already attracted 40 new businesses to date.
“The BLVD just keeps getting better,” said Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris. “Now that the downtown area is such an overwhelming success, drawing people daily to all it has to offer, it simply makes sense to add a place for visitors to stay right in the heart of town.”
This new BLVD project is far more than “just another hotel.” The structure will include office and retail space, in addition to the hotel guest rooms. In addition, Insite development is partnering with the City to build 25-30 mobile retail kiosks, which will be strategically placed along the entire BLVD. These Kiosks will allow Mom and Pops to have a retail presence on the boulevard.
“Our goal is to grow these entrepreneurial vendors into someday having their own brick and mortar store, at the same time making the BLVD the place to shop” says Insite Development’s Scott Ehrlich.

Construction of the complex is scheduled to begin in mid-2012, with completion expected in 2013.
