Registration Now Open for Three Thunder on the Lot Events

Annual Poker Run, Motorcycle, and Car Shows 

Lancaster, CA. May 30, 2017 – Thunder on the Lot, to be held June 10 and 11 at Sgt. Steve Owen Memorial Park (formerly Lancaster City Park), is currently seeking entries for its annual motorcycle and car shows. Each year, hundreds of participants enter, competing to win the event’s coveted “Show and Shine” awards. In addition, registration is now open for the annual Sunday morning Poker Run.


A local favorite for more than 20 years, the annual Poker Run leads bikers on a 100 mile course through the countryside and desert.The ride and registration begins at AV Harley Davidson on Sunday morning, June 11 at 7:30 a.m. The Poker Run concludes at Sgt. Steve Owen Memorial Park where participants parade “the thunder” into the event, becoming a part of the festivities. Registration for a single rider is a $25 donation – and includes a run pin and event t-shirt. The cost for a passenger is $10 (does not include pin or t-shirt).


The Bike Show will be held on Sunday and is open to all types and styles of motorcycles, with numerous classes in which to compete.Over 60 customized awards are presented to the winners of the multiple classes and will be announced at 4 p.m. on Sunday in the Bike Show arena. Registration is $10.


The Thunder on the Lot car show features hundreds of the best custom and classic cars from the Antelope Valley and throughout California. The registration fee for the Car Show is $30 for both days and includes a t-shirt, dash plaque, three raffle entries for a chance to win a transmission, and three raffle tickets to be entered to win a high-pro crate engine. Numerous participants will be recognized in various categories including: more than 50 Awards of Excellence, Best Custom, and Best of Show. Award recipients will be announced from the car show stage at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
