ANTELOPE VALLEY INDIAN MUSEUM

Call 661-946-3055
15701 E Ave M, Lancaster, CA 93535,
Discover the intriguing world of H.A. Edwards, who, enchanted by the Antelope Valley in the '20s, created an enduring legacy. Edwards built his eclectic Tudor Revival structure around a rock formation on Piute Butte to display a growing collection of Native American artifacts and tell the Indians' story in his own dramatic and instructive way. Today, the Antelope Valley Indian Museum serves as a unique state park exhibiting the history and lore of this extensive collection of art and artifacts with a more clear-eyed view of Native American life and times. Check out the murals, paintings and drawings by Edwards along with an extensive collection of works created by indigenous people of America's West Coast, Great Basin and Southwest.
