Cedar Center for the Arts
On August 12, 2014 the City of Lancaster announced the grand opening of the newly restored Cedar Center for the Arts, which had undergone major restoration over nine months. The new facility is comprised of several distinct areas including the MOAH:CEDAR Art Gallery, the Cedar Memorial Hall and arts classroom spaces. Many of these unique spaces can be rented for private events.
The popular Open Mic Night has returned to the Cedar Memorial Hall on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. Admission is free and everyone is welcome to participate.
“The Cedar Center for the Arts is a quintessential piece of Lancaster history and a cornerstone of our cultural legacy,” said Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris. “To restore this Center is to breathe new life into an artistic and cultural institution which has served our community well since the Great Depression.”
