The Lancaster Museum of Art and History also runs MOAH:CEDAR, a nearby gallery that has its own year of captivating exhibitions planned. You can easily get lost in Fairyland (February 23 – March 31), which will spotlight the surreal artwork of Leonard Greco—something he described as the “in-between time of dream and reality,” in a recent interview with Voyage LA.
After that, you can see some homegrown talent during Cedar Fest (April 11 – May 12), which showcases local high school artists. The 34th Annual All-Media Juried Art Exhibition (May 25 – June 23) features young artists from across the Antelope Valley. And if you’d like to see proof that beauty can be found in unlikely places, check out Prison Arts Collective: Beyond the Blue (August 31 – November 10), an exhibition that showcases artwork made by inmates across Southern California.
