Lancaster Juneteenth Celebration – “The Community’s Family Reunion”
The second annual Lancaster Juneteenth Celebration is a free, “family-reunion” style celebration of Juneteenth – the federal holiday that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. Local businesses, organizations, and residents throughout the Antelope Valley are coming together once again to celebrate FREEDOM, share messages of HOPE, and nurture commUNITY. The day will include educational programming on Juneteenth, a morning worship service, roller skating pop up, arts and crafts, family-friendly games, food and merchandise from local vendors, music, entertainment, dancing, a car and bike show, wellness and empowerment sessions, and so much more. Break out your matching family t-shirts, grab your blankets and lawn chairs, and let’s come together in the spirit of family, commUNITY, and most importantly, FREEDOM.
