Sound Bath with Yogi Dave
Join us for a free restorative sound bath created by Yogi Dave on Sunday, February 23, 6pm in the light installation of artist Laddie John Dill.
Soundbaths create a deep healing and restorative energy environment. There have been many studies over the years showing the effect of sound on living organisms. It has been documented to improve both mental and physical health. The vibrations in a sound bath penetrate the body and mind, enabling a deeper connection with the soul. It aids in relaxation, stress reduction and can profoundly affect your state of mind.
The gongs are said to clear the subconscious mind. Yogi Dave plays the Universal Symphonic gong which promotes universal healing and works with each of the chakras. Each of the seven crystal singing bowls are tuned to each of the seven chakras and help to re-calibrate your chakras. He uses a number of other instruments during his soundbaths too, all of which contribute to a very magical and relaxing experience.
While some participants choose to meditate during a sound bath, others simply lay down and relax (or even sleep) and let the sounds wash over them for a deeply relaxing experience. Soundbaths are deeply relaxing and rejuvenating and have been becoming increasingly popular across the nation in recent years because of all of their benefits.
Space is limited and will be first-come-first-serve. Please reserve a spot to confirm your attendance.
Also be sure to bring your own blanket or yoga mat.
