Young Artist Workshop: Marbled Planet Tea Light (online!)
Young artists will be making their own Marbled Planet Tea Light! This Young Artists Workshop – schedule for March 19, 2020 – will be an ONLINE PRESENTATION*
Inspired by Light of Space artists Gary Lang & Robert Standish
Materials will be provided by MOAH.
The Lancaster Museum of Art and History works to preserve arts, culture and the wellness of our community. With the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, the museum is taking the safety of its visitors and staff seriously. Proper sanitizing and hygiene practices are being upheld. All public and staff surfaces are and will continue to be disinfected regularly. The museum will remain open during its regularly scheduled hours until further notice. Should this change, we will provide updates through our website and social media. However, in order to comply with the guidelines provided by the State of California and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, programs and events that anticipate crowds of over 100 people will be cancelled or transitioned to an online format.
If you, or a member of your household feel unwell, or have been exposed to a person that feels unwell, we urge you to practice caution and stay home.
*Art is healing and can be a welcome activity during times of personal and communal stress. To help ease our youngest artists’ worries, we encourage caregivers to create arts and crafts together. Although our Young Artist Workshop in March will be taking place online, the Museum will be providing supply kits and a follow-at-home video. Please pick up your kits during the normal workshop time on Thursday, March 19, from 3 to 7 PM, at MOAH’s reception desk or use materials which are commonly available around the household. For additional art activities, please check out our Young Artist Workshop YouTube playlist below.
